Expediting is a key function for procurement tracking of orders and updating procurement on all their orders, assisting in the procurement of operations goods. Expeditor will receive orders from procurement and file them into their file for expediting. Expeditor will follow up on orders and give feedback twice a week to procurement Monday mornings and Wednesday mornings. Expeditor will arrange collections and deliveries and have an expected deliveries list for the next day.
Expeditor will fill in the driver schedule for the driver with all collections we need to do, keeping in mind the driver will only go out once a day except if otherwise agreed by operations manager. Expeditor to have record of all communications between him and supplier on file, even if it is updates written on the order. Expeditor to give feedback on a Monday and a Wednesday morning before 10 on all orders to Operations Manager, in format as requested by him. Expeditor to assist in all Operational issues like placing of orders and assisting with collections or deliveries where needed.
Stocktaking is part of operations, and for this reason all of operations will be involved in the stock taking and capturing. Expeditor to assist in receiving of goods if Receiving Clerk is not in, or not available. Expediter to follow up with all shipments from Head Office. All shipments will be tracked and delivery confirmed by expeditor.
